Del Mars Powerhouse Community Center is used for both private and community events.  The center offers trellis-covered verandas, restrooms, showers and an outdoor theatre.

The world famous Del Mar Race Track is where "the turf meets the surf at Del Mar".  Here one can find American Thoroughbred horse racing during the summer months. Opening day at the races is always an event with extravagant hats and after parties.
